Shashank Arora

Shashank Arora is an Indian actor and musician born on 21 February 1989 in Delhi, one of the most interesting faces of the independent Hindi film scene. He announced himself with a raw, unforgettable lead performance in Kanu Behl’s grim family drama Titli (2014), which premiered at Cannes.

He has since chosen boldly, from Brahman Naman and the Malayalam-language Moothon to the acclaimed series Made in Heaven and Reema Kagti’s Superboys of Malegaon. He is noted as a rare Indian actor with films competing at both Cannes and Sundance.

Uncompromising and offbeat, he gravitates to the edges of the industry rather than its centre.
