Siddharth Suryanarayan, who works mononymously as Siddharth, is a Tamil actor born in Chennai in 1979. After studying business management, he worked as an assistant director before making his acting debut in the 2003 Tamil film Boys. He went on to establish himself across Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema with notable performances in Rang De Basanti (2006) and Bommarillu (2006).
The actor became a bankable lead in Telugu films during the late 2000s, winning critical acclaim for roles in Striker (2010) and Anaganaga O Dheerudu (2011). His 2014 was particularly prolific, earning a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor for Kaaviya Thalaivan, where he played an actor from 1920s Madras theater, and delivering the acclaimed thriller Jigarthanda.
Beyond acting, Siddharth has worked as a screenwriter, producer, and playback singer. After several unsuccessful projects, he achieved commercial success with films including Aranmanai 2 (2016), Sivappu Manjal Pachai (2019), Chithha (2023), and Indian 2 (2024). He is married to actress Aditi Rao Hydari.
