Sophie Choudry

Sophie Choudry is a British-Indian entertainer discovered at age twelve by music director Biddu. After providing backup vocals and forming the all-female band Sansara, she relocated to Mumbai in 2003 to pursue music and television work. Her breakthrough came as an MTV India VJ hosting ‘MTV Loveline’ and releasing successful albums including ‘Babylove’ (2004) and ‘Sound of Sophie’ (2009).

Her transition to Bollywood was marked by a debut in David Dhawan’s ‘Shaadi No. 1’ (2005), opposite Zayed Khan. She appeared in subsequent films including ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’ (2006), ‘Shootout at Wadala’ (2013), and ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai Dobaara!’ while maintaining a presence in Indian television, competing on ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 7’ in 2014.

Beyond entertainment, Choudry expanded into the wellness sector in 2017, launching Lifetox, a company developing fitness products including ayurvedic teas and vitamins. She continues to juggle music, acting, and business ventures across the Indian market.
