Vaani Kapoor

Vaani Kapoor is an Indian actress who works in Hindi films. Born in Delhi on 23 August 1988, she graduated with a degree in tourism studies and initially worked as a model before being selected through audition for her acting debut in Yash Raj Films’ romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), for which she received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.

Her early career included roles in the Tamil film Aaha Kalyanam (2014) and the romantic comedy Befikre (2016) opposite Ranveer Singh, though both received mixed reviews. After a three-year hiatus, she earned commercial success with her role in the action thriller War (2019) and gained critical praise for her performance as a transgender woman in Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021).

More recently, Kapoor has appeared in films including Shamshera, Raid 2 (2025), and Khel Khel Mein. She continues to work in Bollywood and has taken on roles in upcoming web series productions for Yash Raj Films, maintaining her presence in Indian cinema.
