Varun Badola

Varun Badola made his mark on Hindi television in the late 1990s with Koshish, a Balaji Telefilms production on Zee TV where he played a mentally disabled character, the role that became his calling card in the medium. Over two decades, he built a television career spanning serials like Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani and Yeh Hain Mumbai Meri Jaan, interspersed with film appearances including Mickey Virus and Haasil. He’s also ventured into direction and writing, helming the show Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein.

Beyond acting, Badola proved himself a capable dancer and singer, making appearances on reality television. He competed on Nach Baliye 2 with his wife, actress Rajeshwari Sachdev, reaching the semi-finals. The couple married in 2004 after meeting on the sets of Antakshari and have a son born in 2010.

Badola represents a particular strain of Hindi television talent, the working actor who assembled a career through television serialdom rather than theatrical cinema, accumulating credits across multiple genres without becoming a household name.
