Vijay Raaz is an Indian actor and director born on 5 June 1963 in Delhi, one of Hindi cinema’s most distinctive character performers, instantly recognisable by his sharp features and clipped delivery. He debuted in Bhopal Express (1999) and broke through as the harried wedding planner Dubeyji in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding (2001).
He became a cult favourite for his manic comic turn in Run (2004), the source of an enduring internet meme, and has delivered memorable work in Dedh Ishqiya, Gully Boy and Delhi Belly across more than 90 films.
