Zahan Kapoor is an Indian actor born on 11 March 1992, a fourth-generation member of the legendary Kapoor film family as the son of actor Kunal Kapoor and grandson of the great Shashi Kapoor. He came up through theatre with the family’s Prithvi ensemble before films.
He made his screen debut in Hansal Mehta’s hostage drama Faraaz (2022), and won wide praise for his lead role as an idealistic jailer in the acclaimed Netflix prison series Black Warrant (2025).
Understated and theatre-trained, he has begun his career on serious, well-reviewed material rather than easy stardom.
