Deepika Padukone’s team has officially put the speculation to rest after days of buzzy reports. The actress will not be part of the Brahmastra universe’s next chapter. After industry gossip suggested filmmaker Ayan Mukerji was keen to cast her in the role of Amruta, her spokesperson has now confirmed she won’t be joining the project, settling the matter once and for all.

The casting news has come as a bit of a surprise to many Deepika fans who were genuinely excited about seeing her step into the Astraverse alongside the existing cast. According to reports doing the rounds, Ayan and his team apparently had big plans to bring her on board for this installment, but things didn’t pan out the way they’d hoped behind the scenes.
