Tiger Shroff

Tiger Shroff is one of the few Hindi film action stars whose action is not mostly editing. Born Jai Hemant Shroff in 1990 to the actor Jackie Shroff and the producer Ayesha Shroff, he started Wushu and Taekwondo at four, having decided early that Bruce Lee was the correct life plan. In 2014 Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo headquarters in South Korea, gave him an honorary fifth-degree black belt. That is not a film credit, it is a martial arts credential.

Heropanti in 2014 was the debut, and it won him the Screen Award for Best Male Debut and the IIFA Star Debut of the Year, plus a Filmfare nomination in the same category. Baaghi in 2016 found the lane he has owned since, Baaghi 2 in 2018 proved it scaled, and War in 2019 put him opposite Hrithik Roshan in what became his highest-grossing release.

He has been on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list, and in 2019 he co-founded the mixed martial arts promotion Matrix Fight Night, which is a fairly literal extension of the thing he has actually cared about since he was four.
